Privacy Policy

This is a translation for convenience. In case of doubt, the German version prevails.

This policy describes which personal data is processed when you visit this website. It is based on the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Hosting

This website is provided via GitHub Pages, a service of GitHub, Inc., USA. When you access the site, GitHub may log technical data such as your IP address in order to operate the service securely. This data is processed by GitHub, including in the USA. Further information can be found in GitHub’s privacy statement.

No cookies, no tracking

This website does not set cookies and does not use any analytics or advertising services. Fonts and images are loaded directly from this website, not from third parties.

Free PDF via Gumroad

The free PDFs are provided via the Gumroad platform (Gumroad, Inc., USA). When you request a PDF there, you enter your email address on Gumroad. Gumroad processes this data according to its own privacy policy, and I receive your email address as the provider of the download. I use it exclusively to deliver the PDF and to send information on the topics of the book series.

Contact by email

If you send me an email, for example to be notified about new books, I use your address only for that purpose. You can ask me by email at any time to delete it.

Links to other websites

Links to Amazon, tolino shops or LinkedIn lead to websites of other providers. Only when you click such a link does the respective provider process data about you, according to its own privacy policy.

Your rights

You can request information about the data I hold about you, as well as its correction or deletion. To do so, write to the email address given in the imprint. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority; in Switzerland, this is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

Changes

I will update this policy when the website changes, for example if advertising or analytics services are added later.
